As an experienced nurse I have been involved in medical asthetics for over ten years.and run my clinic , Cosmecare, on the south coast in Hampshire. I specialise in a wide range of anti-ageing treatments including dermal fillers, the use of the botulinum A toxin, chemical peels and the removal of thread veins from the face and legs. I can offer a referral service to a dermatologist, cosmetic surgeons and a vascular surgeon.
I serve on a committee with the Royal College of Nursing aiming to improve standards in aesthetic nursing and contributing to policy development within the RCN and nationally. I represent the membership of the RCN on the Shared Regulation Scheme for Providers of Cosmetic Injectables which comes into force in the summer of 2010. I am also part of the British Academy of Cosmetic Practice.
I have contributed to the development of the fist Graduate Diploma Course for Aesthetic Nurses by assisting in writing the course material and am an Assessor for it at the University of Greenwich. Completing the Nurse Prescribing course means I am able to prescribe the medications used in this specialty. Last year I became an accredited Civil Expert Witness.
Finally, I am a founder member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses established in 2009.
